Covid 19: First Aid Kit

4 Sophrology and Hypnosis exercises to calm your anxiety, stress, etc

Purify your internal atmosphere: Close your eyes and breathe in deeply through your nose while inflating your abdomen. Block your breathing for a few seconds. Then breathe out  slowly through your mouth as if you were blowing into a straw. Imagine the color of the air you are breathing out and the way it is becoming clearer and purer as you breathe out. Do the exercise 3 times at you own pace.

Body scan: Close your eyes and draw your attention to each part of your body, starting with the top of your head. Observe the sensation of each part of your body: is there a particular sensation? A tension? A certain temperature? A tingle? Or any other natural feeling. Pursue with your forehead, eyelids, cheeks, jaws, nape of the neck, neck, arms, fore arms, chest... down to your toes. There is no precise objectives; simply reconnecting with your body sensations and being aware of eventual tensions is already beneficial.

The 3 good things of the day: during this period, it is vital to be attentive to whatever can bring up a positive feeling in us to compensate for all the negative information received by our brain with positive actions and thoughts. Every night before you go to sleep, think of three good things that happened during the day. Don’t worry about whether they’re big or small, anything positive counts as long as you felt good about what happened.
