Sophrology will enable you to regain a feeling of well-being and activate your full potential. It will also enable you to get to know yourself better and face the daily challenges of life with serenity.
Sophrology is a practice that can help you create a greater sense of well-being in your everyday life. It can activate your potential through a combination of breathing and relaxation exercises, mental suggestions and positive visualization methods, which can collectively address your emotions, mind and body. Sophrology empowers you with a greater understanding of yourself and the world around you; it helps you to face daily challenges, with serenity, and anchor yourself in the present moment.
Sophrology acts altogether on your body, your mind and your emotions with a combination of breathing and relaxation exercises, as well as the visualization of mental images.
There are two types of exercises:
Sophrology was created in the 1960s by Alfredo Caycedo, a neuropsychiatrist.
It brings together the best of Western and Eastern techniques such as: hypnosis, relaxation methods, positive suggestion technique, meditation, yoga, zazen…
The term Sophrology was inspired by ancient Greek and means the study of the harmonization of consciousness (sôs: harmonious; phren: spirit; logos: science).
Everyone can practice Sophrology*; when necessary, exercises can be adapted to the physical condition of the client. It can be praticed anywhere, anytime ; no specific material or clothing is required.
* sole contraindicationtions: people suffering from schizophrenia or psychosis.

"Skeptic Turned Believer"
After struggling with grief and anxiety for years following the rather brutal deaths of my parents—one from a brain tumor and the other by suicide—I had tried traditional talk therapy without finding relief. Despite my usual cynicism toward anything deemed ‘woo woo’, I was willing to try something different. Alexandra combines sophrology, hypnosis and EMDR in a way that’s tailored to each session’s specific need. She is not only attentive and pragmatic but also deeply compassionate. I had many tearful breakdowns in front of her, and she always responded with genuine concern, focusing on solutions rather than dwelling on the issues. What I particularly appreciated was her ability to explain the science behind her methods, which really helped someone like me who is often skeptical. If you're hesitant, I encourage you to give it a try. I noticed positive changes after just a few sessions, with some results occurring immediately. Stick with it—it’s worth it if there’s a chance of feeling better.
"Great with children"
My daughter felt confident with Alexandra from the very first session and was very happy with the way things went.
"Invaluable support"
First of all, thank you Alexandra for the help you gave me when I needed it. Sometimes it's a good idea to call on a caring person to help us move forward, and that's what Alexandra will provide in these sessions, without judgment and with a great deal of empathy.
